Non-Darwinian bat myths Author: Doctor Terence Rajivan Edward Date: 2021 1. Some mammals which are not bats want to fly. A bat comes along and says, "I am a mammal too and I can fly. I will teach you how." The mammals say, "We don't want to fly like you do. That's not proper flight. We want to fly NOBLY, like birds do!" The bat leaves them and they never learn to fly. 2. Some rodent-like ancestors to bats are gathered at a meeting. A young leading figure at the front says, "So my plan is we'll turn these into wings." He draws attention to his hands. An objector says, "Birds don't fly with their hands. They fly like this," and makes flapping motions with his arms. The leading figure says, "We'll hang upside down and achieve flight." The objector says, "I am out of here," and leaves, as do some others. "Look, I am still working out the details," pleads the youth.
